Diversity at NEST
At NEST+m highschool, diversity is a priority. From races to genders to religions to even preferences. Nest includes a wide variety of people who come from different parts of New York City. At the same time, the muslim population is underrepresented. Racism still exists in this world and even in this school.
Whats our solution
MSA. MSA stands for Muslim Student Association. At Nest anyone can walk in and learn about Islam. The nest+m msa discusses events, hadith and ways in we could learn and improve ourselves as muslims. This year we have spoken of dua, our parents, forgiveness, islamophobia and much more. Our goal is to spread the message and awareness of Islam throughout this schhol and this world. Join us to learn more about yourself, islam and the duniyah (world) that we live in, on Thursdays in room 351 after schhol from 3:00 to 3:45. You'll also find us praying Zuhr after schoolnear the gym in the first floor.
